The ICTR was created to further Baylor College of Medicine’s commitment to clinical and translational research. One of the ICTR goals is to provide a robust, readily accessible infrastructure to encourage and support multidisciplinary, collaborative research. As a centralized shared resource, the ICTR provides coordinated and comprehensive researcher-focused support for all stages of clinical research, from study design to study closeout. Services include research informatics, biostatistics, grants and contracts administrative support, research nursing, trial coordination, regulatory services and research ethics consultation. The ICTR is strategically positioned to accommodate patient-oriented research activities in all of the adult and pediatric patient care facilities affiliated with Baylor College of Medicine.
